Viewsonic VA2226W on Linux

I use Centos 5 and I am planning to purchase an LCD monitor to replace my Viewsonic CRT (E790 - 19") soon.

The model I am looking at is the Viewsonic VA2226W 22" widescreen. While this specific model is not listed in my display config list it must have an older equivalent I can select.

Does anyone know what that equivalent is?

The size and model aren't important. What is important is the horiz and vert sync rates. As long as you have a manual with the right numbers you can set up X.org to work with any reasonable monitor. Just select the option in xorgconfig to specify your own data and enter the numbers. It may even be autodetected just fine by later versions of X.org.
