Viewsonic VA1930wm for Fedora Core 5 Driver
I have two Viewsonic VA1930wm lcd monitors and I am attempting to get them to work properly with Fedora Core 5. I was messing with the video settings and I noticed that the my monitor is not listed as an option. I have a GeForce 7600 GT PCI Express x16 video card. I went to the www.nvida.com and found a general driver for there GeForce series for the x86_64 distro which is what I have. The installation worked but the native resolution of 1440 x 900 is not an option for the resolution. I attempted to change the monitor that linux days I'm using to a similar named monitor by viewsonic and I don't think this was a good idea because now the X window will not display. I realized I have an older distro so I am going to start over with Fedora 6 and see if this helps. I was wondering if anyone knows of something that will allow me to add Viewsonic VA1930wm to the list if its not there.
