ViewSonic E70
Hi,
I have a ViewSonic E70 montor (which I want to use instead of my Dell Trinitron). I am using Mandrake 10.1. When I go into the Mandrake Control Center, it says it is using a generic monitor driver (this is with my Trinitron and with my E70) with 1280x1042 74Hz. When I look at my monitor's menu it says it is operatign at 60Hz. The Trinitron looks like it is actually operating at 74Hz, where the E70 looks like it is operating at 60Hz. When I hook either monitors up to a Windows machine I get the proper Hz amount through the monitor's display. The problem I'm having is that with the E70 the refresh rate is killing my eyes. Linux says it is at 74Hz, but I don't buy that. Is there any other way I can check? I also tried using the ViewSonic E70 drivers, but I don't see an option to set the refresh rate. Any ideas?
Ryan

Wow, I just assumed. I looked up the specs and it can do 1280X1024 @ 66Hz. My trinitron can do up to 100MHz. Let me experiment and I'll get back to you. Thanks.

Where can I set the refresh rate in Mandrake? For example in the MCC if I select E70 as my monitor, there is no place to set the refresh rate.
