video problem with onboard card
I recently setup a dell gx200 with SuSe Linux and had it working ok and displaying from a PCI ATI AIW 64Mb 7500 video card but I had to do a little tweaking with sax(?). I wanted to use the TV feature with Linux but I couldn't get it to work, with some messages about not being able to use that feature with duel monitors. I have the PCI video card connected to a 17' monitor that is supported but the onboard video adapter from the mobo was not connected to anything.
I gave up on SuSe to try Mandrake and in setup and now at boot I can see everything until the boot is what seems complete and the screen goes blank like no signal is being sent. I thing Mandrake is trying to display from the onboard video.
I have used Mandrake before and would prefer to reinstall SuSe. I've checked the ATI page but the problem seems to be the onboard video trying to be primary.
How can I get Linux to think the onboard video isn't there so I can use the full features of the ATI card?
