Video Analog Capture on an ATI 9600XT VIVO?

Does anyone know if it is possible to use the video in and out capture features of the ATI 9600XT VIVO under linux yet?

It works nicely under windows ok but I'd ideally like a v4l driver.

The ATI acceleration driver works well on my system but has no capture features.

Windows and Linux is two different OS. ATI supports Windows a lot more than Linux. ATI is pathetic when it comes to writing software for their products.

You can try gatos software but I do not know if it will work for your card.

I suggest getting a PCI capture card if you can not get it to work.

It's not too much of a drama right now. Besides games, Windows still continues to look after my video editing needs. All else is in Linux. MS still leads the way in 3rd party support in this area.
