Via VT1612A based soundcard issue - midi sound?
 

hi body,
by many days i'm working around my drivers to let them play midi files, but something strange happens when i try to play one: simply no sound.

i start kmid, then i select the right midi port in the menu, open the file to play, and then no sound, but kmid goes on! no error, no warning, simply no sound. why?

same happening using timidity, select the port, play, no sound.

it seems that my card supports midi files without timidity, but for a strange reason there isn't volume. i've set the volumes (by the mixer) at the top level on all the ports..

any suggestion?
