i'm having some difficulties with the AGP Support. i've got the msi PT880 Neo Board and it seems there are some problems with AGP in general.
i am trying to find linux drivers, but MSI doesn't offer any. and also under windows, i am experiencing some graphical errors i didn't have with my old mobo (it scrambles some lines on my display, while i was using a nvdidia dualhead card + 1 ati pci card for tripple head)
i did then buy a Matrox Parhelia triplehead card, but this one doesn't really work under linux. i can get the tripple head thing to work, but with the same line-scrambling problem as in windows (only that it's even worse under linux) and i don't like to have one desktop over three screens. since this is the only tripplehead mode supported by the parhelia cards, i tried to get the dualhead (two desktops on two screens) to work, but it isn't able to load the second screen's channel.
looking at the logs i have figured out, that the problem must be somwhere on my mobo with it's agp controller. so the reason why i saw yor post was because i was googling for "Via PT880 Driver Linux" ;-)

i wouldn't buy tat chipset anymore, i was told intel was much better.

hope i could help

DISCLAIMER: please read this post with care, i'm quite a and it might well be that i am doing something wrong (not under windows i guess, but under linux)
