Using UK bought PC in the Americas

I have an old PC that I am thinking of taking to my mother in law in South America when I visit her later this year.
Has anyone every used UK bought equipment in the Americas ?
How easy is it to get an adapter ?

Depends of the voltage in South America. The PC should be easy to "convert" just a switch on the back from 230V to 110V about the screen I don't know.

All the rest shouldn't be any trouble...

Never done it though, just some common sense...

Thanks Zappa, I will look at that.
The voltage is 110 V in South America, I think they have the same inefficient system in the USA.
However I will also need an adapter, but hopefully I can find one (our pugs are different from most other countries.
