I realise that you experts must get tired of us new comers to Linux, but i cant get my Sonyericsson K750i to work as a modem in Fedora Core 4. I am connecting with a USB cable, it recognizes the mem card, and in the hardware list it is under modems but in internet setup it does not give me the option to use it as a modem.
First of all, very small percentage of us are experts. We're jus linux users. And noone is ever tired of questions from another user. The more users, the better! That's what we wwant. As for your q: Hmmm, not all mobiles are ready-to-use as modems out of the box. Are you sure it can be used that way?
I had a look at that site it tells me that the modem should be on /dev/ttyACM0 or ACM1 those devices are both there but when i go to internet setup it still tells me that there is no modem present. I am a complete beginner and i need to reboot to check all the time, running dual boot till i can get the internet to work in linux.
I am using the Phone to connect on my xp installation
