Using my usb mouse with laptop


I just baught a little usb mouse so i can do my graphics design projects on my laptop easier but i have already installed linux and i want to be abl to switch the two how do i do this?

Open your xorg.conf in a text editor. Under the "input devices" section, below the entry for the first mouse (touchpad) put something like this:

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse1"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
Option "Protocol" "imps/2"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
EndSection
