Using cfdisk on usb thumbdrive??

Ok.... I'm using Knoppix 3.3 live cd. It is not utilizing my hard drive, which is OK!

....I have a 256Mb thumbdrive formatted in fat32 that has 4 partitions on it....3 more than I want! So, I've been trying the cfdisk command, but it will only read the partitions of my /hda. Obviously, I do not want to reformat my harddrive, so what must I do to get cfdisk to read the thumbdrive and it's numerous unwanted partitions?? Is there a particular directory I should be in?? I've mostly been in:

root@ttyp0[mnt]#

Thanks for your suggestions!!:Pengy:

How are you accessing the drive with cfdisk?

It should be something like:

cfdisk /dev/sda
