Using a mic in redhat
How can I record my voice in redhat ?:Pengy:  :Pengy:
|
Using a regular mic,
Not the one included with headphones . The singing one . |
try rezound :-)
|
Is it a command that I have to type in shell or it's just a joke ?
I don't get it, And it doesn't work for me if it was a command :) |
sorry, what specific problem are you having. rezound is an audio recording/processing tool.
|
Where can I find it,
Actually "sound recorder" didn't work for me . That's excatly my problem . All I want is to record my voice as a wav extention . |
get it from http://rezound.sourceforge.net/ have fun. and if you have any other problems regarding this just ask, some times sound can be difficult to setup in linux , sometimes it is easy :-)

Well, I've installed ReZound now, but still not working (BTW, it seems bery cOol)
When I open it it says about the OSS driver is busy (Something similer) Then I click OK,,,,,After that, It displays the "About rezound" Dialog . So I say close , After all, It starts normally . But when I try to play any wave or ogg file, It doesn't work (That's the problem) and then it gives me something similer to this: Sound player isn't initialized . And something about the Csound player channel . I k'now this is too much telling you what exactly happened, But I have to specify so I can be more clear for *helpers* :-) |
try killing artsd. i've had similar problems to this one, if killing artsd doesnt work do "ps -A" and look for anything sound related and try killing that. can you play mp3's or oggs with xmms (or similar). :-)
