Use audio-subdevices as DSP

My soundcard is a SoundBlaster Live. When i enter 'aplay -l' i can see a list with 32 subdevices. Is it possible to have /dev/dsp1 - /dev/dsp32? How can this be done? Can i create /dev/dsp's with .asoundrc?
