Try this:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wi...Device/F5D7000

Before you start you must install ndiswrapper:

sudo apt-get install ndiswrapper-common

Dear all,

I tried to follow the tutorials for installing the USB stick but unfortunately I did not make it. Because I have no internet connection I installed ndiswrapper from the Ubuntu CD, and I used the ndisgtk to install the drivers. The case is that the drivers are successfully added/installed but the hardware does not seem do be present. In addition, when I try to configure the driver with the ndisgtk it said that there is no networks tools for doing that.
I would be really happy if anyone has any idea of what is going wrong. I am trying to install wrong drivers?

Thank you.

I can't tell how far you've gotten from your description. I've never heard of ndisgtk. From the command line, as root, running ndiswrapper -l will show if Windows driver is installed.

lsusb or lspci should list your hardware device and lsmod should list ndiswrapper.

Until ndiswrapper -l shows a properly installed Windows driver, it definitely is NOT going to work.

pentode,

ndiswrapper -l says that the driver is installed but it does not say the hardware is present. ndisgtk is the gui of ndiswrapper.

Thanks.
