USB to RS232 convertor for Samsung Galaxy TAB

Hello,

I am using a Samsung Galaxy Tab 750. I need to develop an App to send data over a serial (RS232) link. I tried connecting USB to Serial adapters to the TAB.

First I connected a unpowered USB to Serial adapter to the USB port in the TAB. The notification received was "Unknown USB device connected".

Second I tried connecting a Easysync USB to serial adapter. The message was "High power USB device connected, cannot connect to this device". Note the Easysync device uses a FTDI chipset which is supported in Android.

Third I connected a Belkin powered USB hub to the usb port on the TAB. The message was "High power USB device connected, cannot connect to this device".

Can you please suggest a method for accessing these USB devices from the Galaxy TAB ?

Thanks
