USB Thumbdrive Win32/Linux Encrypt & Stop Write to autorun.inf

Anyone know what I can google for to find:

1) A guide on how to have encryption working automatically on linux and windows; i.e. Have one partition unencypted with the decrypt software on it (linux and Windows versions), and the other partition encrypted. (The unencypted partition fairly big so not to be too obvious)

2) How to stop Windows writing to autorun.inf and spreading virii that way (could be better on a WIndows forum as this is a question about fat32 / fat16)

truecrypt is an excellent cross-platform encryption software package. Through "hidden volumes", it even addresses your concerns for having a "large, suspicious" encrypted partition.
