I assume the device is a USB-pen drive.
What does the "fdisk -l" output display ?

odcheck 09-26-2006 07:51 AM

Is it formatted which filesystem?
I just checked my 512MB pen and it shows 525MB.
It is FAT32 formatted.

odcheck 09-28-2006 12:53 AM

If you don't loose any files then format it with
Code:

mkfs.vfat -f 32 /dev/sda
