Usb stick not detected in suse10 but fine in windows


Hi everyone , i'm new here. So glad to be part of the great linux community.

My problem, i try to mount my usb drive, however, nothing happens. This is very frustrating as i am a web developer and need to bring my work home every day.

please help.

What does the output of 'dmesg' show before and after attempting to mount the stick? Does the mount command reveal any errors?
