USB mouse keeps going out

I have a microsoft USB mouse. I am running Fedora Core 2 with kernel 2.6.7-1.494.2.2. Can't use newest kernel, because I havent been able to get it to work with my dvd/cd burner. Although this problem has remained present through several different kernels, so I dont think it is an issue with the kernel. Anyways my usb mouse keeps going out and when it does my floppy drive will light up for a second. I tried removing the floppy drive just incase some how that had something to do with the problem, but still did the same thing. Here is what I get in system logs.

Oct 26 15:00:34 localhost kernel: usb 1-1: USB disconnect, address 12
Oct 26 15:00:35 localhost kernel: usb 1-1: new low speed USB device using address 13
iso-8859-1Oct 26 15:00:35 localhost kernel: input: USB HID v1.00 Mouse [Microsoft Microsoft IntelliMouse® Explorer] on usb-0000:00:07.2-1
Oct 26 15:00:36 localhost kernel: VFS: busy inodes on changed media.
Oct 26 15:00:36 localhost last message repeated 34 times
Oct 26 15:00:41 localhost kernel: usb 1-1: USB disconnect, address 13
Oct 26 15:00:41 localhost kernel: VFS: busy inodes on changed media.
Oct 26 15:00:41 localhost last message repeated 5 times

Over and over. I have had the mouse for a little, so it is possible the mouse could be just going out. But would like to make sure this is the case before I go out and buy a new one.

Thanks for any help you guys can provide me

Well I guess I should have pasted the whole log. It keeps going through irq addresses until this time it hit address 22. And if it was irq conflict wouldnt it do it right when my computer boots up? Sometimes I go days even a week sometimes without any problems.

crayolarx; maybe wrong but don,t think
booting is going to change irq settings. that u may have to choose to do. take time to read the howto,s it will ease those problems ahead of time.
