usbcore: registered new driver usbhid
drivers/usb/input/hid-core.c: v2.01:USB HID core driver
usbcore: deregistering driver usbhid
usbcore: deregistering driver hiddev

also i can see my mouse from `cat /proc/bus/usb/devices`

But no corresponding device in /dev/input/ (i have a laptop, there is a event[0-2] for keyboard, mouse(touchpad),mouse(trackpoint), i'm using a synaptics driver as i have ibm t41) and no /dev/psaux.
If i have to create a device(with mknod c xx xx) what are those numbers? For usb major is 13(am I correct?) but how to determine minor number? From bus?

Any ideas? Bcause i've stuck with this:/
Thanks in advance!!!

PS: my kernel is 2.6.13

Hi,

this worked for me:

1. Compile the kernel:

A. Compile in the kernel the Input device support (*)
In Input Device support:
Mouse Interface (*)
(1024) Horizontal screen resolution
(768) Vertical screen resolution

B. In case of kernel 2.6.x:

Support for USB (M)
Support UHCI HCD (M) (Most Intel and VIA support)
Support EHCI HCD (M) (USB 2.0 support)
USB Human Interface (full HID) support (M) (not the boot basic support)
HID input lyer support (*)
/dev/hiddev raw HID device support (*) (maybe not necessary)

2. XF86Config-4

"Option" "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
"Option" "Protocol" "PS/2"

3. Bring up the modules you just compiled in.

That's all...

I got it running with a Genius Optical, EyeBall Mouse.

Hope it'll help.
