help!! How can I setup USB midi controller?
I am running ubuntu hoary hedgehog on one computer, and linspire on another. I have a midiman Keystation 49e and an oxygen8 midi controller, both usb, and I can't seem to figure out how to get these to work with either distro. Is it even possible? Can anyone help? I am a semi-pro musician, and would like to be able to do a complete switch to linux. I do have the latest version of Crossover if there's any way that could help.

mk-249C
I have an Evolution MK-249C which according to the link you posted,
is supported by ALSA. Some programs detect its existance as a possible MIDI input, but none can seem to catch the MIDI events. Any ideas why that might be? |
