USB internal card reader suggestion

Hi everybody,

I'm getting a new computer and this is the first time I'm going to BUILD IT MYSELF...

I won't have SCSI anymore so I need to have a good PC card reader solution for all my camera memory chips. Everybody says to just get an internal 9-in-1 reader that plugs into the motherboard. Do these work with Linux? Is it safe to just get one of these, and enable USB support once I have Linux up and going?

"Everybody" is right. Just get an internal 9-in-1 reader that plugs into USB. It is likely to work.
If you plug in your USB devices (and printer, modem etc.,) and turn them on, when you install you preferred distro of linux, it is likely that everything will be set up for you.

Thanks tedegar! I'm happy to hear that. I am bound and determined to set this thing up
myself, I guess it's not too hard, I just need a little handholding. Now to pick the right motherboard...
