Hi Folk,

I have tried to setup USB HP LaserJet 3030 (All in one model, which is fax, scanner and printer) in my RedHat Enterprise Linux version 3 updated 4.
I have done the HP Linux Imaging and Printing (HPLIP) , cupsd , sane-backend and xsane installation. The printing I have done and it is working well. But the scanner part, the xsane said that it cannot detect it! Actually I do not know whether the /dev/scanner is working or not? How do I test it?
Could anybody teach me how do I setup the scanner part? What configuration file do you want?

Thanks for your helping. But the part 7.4 does not mention how to setup local scanner. I run scanimage -L or sane-find-printer still cannot detect it. Do you know where can I proceed to fix it? like where do I check the scanner dev file is working or not?
