usb flash drive removal crash
I have a memorex 1 gb flash drive. When I plug it in, suse10 recognizes the drive with a window popup. I click ok. I copy/delete/move/etc between drives with no problem. In my computer when I right click on the removable drive, I get a menu with "safely remove". Now, I click on that and I get this window.
error - kio_media_mounthelper unmount: /media/traveldrive is not in the fstab(and you are not in root). Please check if disk is inserted. If I try again, same thing happens. If I pull it out, the removable drive symbol dispears from "my computer". Data on the drive is still intact if I reinsert. Need help?? (suse10 is updated dayly). as |
You could SU into the /etc/fstab file and add an entry for /media/traveldrive.
(if it's there ... I'm lost :o ) off the top of my head ... /dev/sda1 /media/traveldrive vfat user, noauto 0 0 should be ok ... it's fairly close to the entry in my fstab. |
