USB Flash drive don't want mount


I've installed new kernel 2.6.2! i can't use my USB flash drive!
i enter
mount /dev/sda /mnt/usb
the answer was /dev/sda is not valid block device

i thought that problems is in modules

i also add dmesg and lsmod output

It would help out if you put that kind of data in code brackets.

have you tried "/dev/sda1" instead of just "/dev/sda"? I usually have to put a 1 in order to get it to work.

i ve tried sda1! the result was the same! sda1 s not valid block device

You might want to try /dev/sdb1 also.

Try this:

dmesg | grep "sd"
and check your output then. That ought to give you something useful. It works for the 2.4 kernel anyway. I'm not well versed with the 2.6 kernel.
