USB External HDD issue

My external hdd will let me create folders in the main directory and sometimes in some of the others but any time I try to create a folder in my music directory it says I don't have permission and then I can't create folders in any directory.

/etc/fstab looks like this
Code:
/dev/sdb1 /media/seagate auto rw,user,noauto,fmask=777,dmask=777,umask=000 0 0
How might I fix that?

File format: Fat32
OS: Debian Linux Squeeze
DE: Gnome

Still doesn't work. When I right click on the folder and click permissions it says I have read/write access, though.
Maybe god just hates me and doesn't want me to transfer files with my external...

try to use as simple as mine

Code:
/dev/sda5 /export/mnt/w32/ vfat auto,rw,umask=000 1 0
mounting path is not the issue but i always mount everything in /export (perposely)

for auto usb hdd or others from media u can try chmod 777 media
