usb ethernet driver/setup

I installed CentOS 5.4 but it did not recognize the usb ethernet adapter. I think it uses asix driver from elrepo. How do I go about setting this as eth1 after running rpm?

Thanks.

Its not being detected so I can't put it on auto. I want it to show up under network-scripts/ifcfg-eth1
