USB drive support

Is breezy supposed to have perfect USB drive support? I would imagine that would come built in, but my 256M USB drive is acting funny. It is recognized and appears as /media/usbdisk, but files 'written' to it (dragged to the folder in nautilus) are either never copied or end up being size:0kb. I haven't got another drive to see if it's the drive. If everyone else's USB drives 'just work', i'll assume it's my drive that's broken.

interesting: when I create plain file 'foo' containing only the word 'foo', then move it to usbdisk, the file successfully copies and stays. File failing to copy is about 70kb.
