Usb disk debian 4
I have a Western Digital USB disk on a PC running Debian 4 kernel 2.6.18, using it as a NFS share. It has worked perfectly up to now, now the disk fails to mount properly or i can mount it but cant read the file structure. The disk appears as /dev/sda when it worked. When i remove the disk and reattach it i get this from dmesg
usb usb1: Controller not stopped yet!
usb 1-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 21
usb 1-2: device descriptor read/64, error -110

I have shut down the server and restarted it with and without the usb disk plugged in, it doesn't help. Could someone help med with this. The disk works fine in another Debian lenny mashine with KDE and a Kubuntu maschine running KDE.
