USB Device stop working

Hi,
I was using my USB pendrive with happyness. After a restart I've got a message:
mount: /dev/sda1 is not a valid block device
when I try to mount it! This is odd cause no kernel change have been made after the restart... all the thinks have been putted inside the kernel... so it should work.
I don't know what to check...
Thanks to everyone

I don't know what is happened. But this morning the USB key works :-) I've notices yesterday I haven't the log message when I plug in the key... I'm wondering if it was correctly inserted... sure it was.
By the way now it works.
Problem solved.
