USB device node - where is it?

I have a supermicro server on which I am trying to run the LCD using lcdproc. In the LCDd.conf file, I must specify the device node however I can't seem to find one that relates to the LCD. When I run 'lsusb -v', I get:

However using 'lsusb -D /dev/XXX', I cannot find a node in /dev that relates to this (I keep getting the message 'Cannot open /dev/XXX'). I have tried every node in /dev, and have tried './MAKEDEV lcd' as well.

How do I create a device node that I can use with my LCD/lcdproc?

When you plugin the device and run dmesg, you should see the device node listed.

The LCD is permanently connected, and runs under an HID layer. There is a message in the output of 'dmesg' relating to the device, however it says nothing about a device node.

I have sequentially run 'lsusb -D' on every node in /dev, all of them return "Could not open device."... what I need to know is how to create it.

Anyone?
