usb audio : oss work but not alsa !(debian 2.6)
Hi there, everything was fine before i installed kde 3.3
now i cant get sound to work except with xmms so i guess the problem comes from ALSA. I tried to set preferences in my different video players (xine, totem and the one included in KDE wich i cant remember name) so that OSS is used instead of ALSA but there is no such option. i tried to remove ALSA, hoping that OSS would then be used but that didnt work, as i expected. is there a simple way to disable ALSA and use OSS or should i try to make my musepocket USB audio "card" work (can u call a card an external device wich is, moreover, round ?? ) with ALSA ? i will provide my conf files if needded but since the devices work fine with OSS i guess there is no module related problems ... thanks a lot |
lol
Hum, well, i have discovered something marvelous called the "control center" in KDE. I had spent a lot of time in the system stuffs without finding anything. now i chose OSS and thats fine even if i(d like ALSA to see my device..
thanks anyway :D |
