USB & Firewire ports not working?
 

I am using Suse 9.2 Pro and KDE 3.3. I have a Gigabyte socket A 7vt600 1394 mother board. It came with a USB 2.0 & firewire cable that connects to the board on F1_1394 & F2_1394 sockets. I have connected these cables to the board and fired up the machine but the USB ports do not work. Do they need to be configured? I hope this is enough info, if not please let me know what else you need to know.
