I'm looking at adding a USB 3.0 adapter card to a couple of my desktop machines for the purpose of attaching a large (1.5-3.0TB) external drive for backups. Yes, USB 2.0 works but is really slooooooow...
Anybody know of any brands/models that are sure to work, or on the flip side, have known issues and should be avoided?
For the sake of argument, the machine in question will likely have either Debian Wheezy or CentOS 6.3 on it.
TIA,
Monte
