Usb
I have been having a lot of problems with USB devices. The only things I have ever tried to use are a compacflash card reader and a webcam. Both have caused me headaches. One recent problem that has cropped up is stopping me from trying anything else:
If I plug a digital camera, flashcard reader or whatever into the USB port the keyboard stops working. When I unplug it it is fine. So I tried it on another machine at work, that one just jams up completely as soon as anything is plugged into the USB port. Both machines are running Debian. Any ideas? |
Keyboard, USB and IRQ
I'm still unable to use USB devices because they stop my keyboard from working. I was advised by a friend to change the IRQ settings in the BIOS. I've had a look and haven't a clue what to change. Come on, can't anyone point me in the right direction?
