usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71


When I insert the USB stick the below error messages are seen
mx27# usb 1-1: new full speed USB device using Ixc-ehci and address 2
usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71
usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71
usb 1-1: new full speed USB device using Mxc-ehci and address 3
usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71
usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71
asb 1-1: new full speed USB device using mxc-ehci and address 4
usb 1-1: device not accepting address 4, error -71
usb 1-1: new full speed USB device using mxc-ehci and address 5
usb 1-1: device not acCepting address 5, error -71
hub 1-0:1.0: unable to enumerate on Port 1

kernel version: linux2.6.35.rc3
target:imx27ads

have you tried it on another computer? Seems like device, usb controller, or partition is broken.

the error message I was seeing is almost the same
"usb1-2 device descriptor read/all, error 71" & it went away when I changed a setting in the bios for usb from 'full speed' to 'high speed'
