I am upgrading my MSI Wind laptop to a wireless card I harvested out of my friend's dead Macbook Pro. The only problem is, my old card had two antennae, the new one has three. I'm guessing the cables go into the LCD screen, I couldn't get them out of his Laptop without destroying the LCD which he was hoping to save. If I were to put this into my laptop only connecting the two cables that came with my old card, would it make a difference? Or would I need to find a third antenna online somewhere and put that in my laptop (And if so, is it ok if I just have it in the case and not in the LCD like the other two antennae?)

It should work when you connect only two antennas. In my opinion the MIMO will just disable the third one disconnected, because it will find out, that it's not useful.
