upgraded hard drive - distros won't boot
I had a 14.4gb hard drive installed with Win98SE on a primary partition and 3 Linux distros on logical partitions (hda5, hda6, hda7, swap hda8).
All are ReiserFS files sytems.
I used Acronis Partition Manager to clone that drive to a larger drive (120gb Seagate ATA). I kept the same partition arrangement. I then removed the 14.4gb hdd.
I am using Boot Magic as the boot manager.
Upon bootup, I cannot launch any of the distros. All hang immediately and it appears the Boot Magic is pointing to the respective boot sector on the root partition but nothing is there. I get no error indications, just a system hang.
I can see all 3 distro filesystems fine if I boot from Knoppix and all look OK.
Obviously, just cloning the partitions is not the whole answer. What can I do to get these distros going?
Thanks
Dennis
