unmount write protected disk

Hi,
I have a RAID 5 ATA adapter with 7 disks in the RAID array. I have mounted it under /data directory. There was a crash last week and I tried rebuilding the drive. It worked fine. Suddenly the folder became read only. when I try to write data in that directory I m getting the error "Disk write-protected". I don't know what went wrong. I can't able to umount the folder also. can anyone help me
Regards,
pradi

The filesystem is probably set to remount read-only when an error occurs. So normally unmounting and fschecking should solve the problem. Why does the system refuse to 'umount /data' ? Error messages?

Oh wait I just think of something. Try to check your RAID BIOS, maybe for some reason it put the array into Write-Protect while rebuilding the RAID...

good luck,
nukkel
