I connected a modem to the serial port of a sun ultra 80 (sun4u). The problem is that I'm not able to access the modem using minicom: it just hangs forever. The modems works fine if I attach it to an x86 box (either with linux or windows).
The distro I'm using is gentoo, relevant info follows:
su0 at 0x000001fff13062f8 (irq = 4,7ea) is a 16550A
su1 at 0x000001fff13083f8 (irq = 9,7e9) is a 16550A
ttyS0 at MMIO 0x1fff1400000 (irq = 8841632) is a SAB82532 V3.2
ttyS1 at MMIO 0x1fff1400040 (irq = 8841632) is a SAB82532 V3.2
# CONFIG_SERIAL_NONSTANDARD is not set
# Serial drivers
# Non-8250 serial port support
# CONFIG_SERIAL_SUNZILOG_CONSOLE is not set
# CONFIG_SERIAL_SUNSU_CONSOLE is not set
# CONFIG_SERIAL_SUNSAB_CONSOLE is not set
(I was originally using only the sunsab driver, because I believe it's the right choice. Having problems, I tried enabling all the available drivers but still no go).
