Unable to mount zip drive in Mandrivia 2006.0

Does anyone know what drivers are needed in order to access a internal zip drive? When I place a zip disk in the drive that contains data and try and read the disk nothing happens the drive does not spin nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

Zip drives like to be slave IDE drives. To force the drive to access the disk, type fdisk -l as sudo or su. Assuming the zip drive is /dev/hdb. The disk will be /dev/hdb4. Please do not ask why. After that, you can just mount the disk. To mount it, type sudo mount -t auto -o rw /dev/hdb4 /mnt/disk. This assumes that you are in the wheel group and sudo is installed with the proper config.
