unable to mount floppy after kernel upgrade
Hello~
I upgraded to a 2.6.0-test7 kernel a long time ago. I thought it went without a hitch, until I tried to use my floppy drive.
mount /dev/fd0:
mount: /dev/fd0 is not a valid block device
fdformat /dev/fd0:
/dev/fd0: No such device or address
I had this host on for about a week before I tried to use the floppy, so there was nothing about it in dmesg. I checked /var/log/messages.2, and found all the kernel output from my last bootup.
cat /var/log/messages.2 | grep fd0:
Nov 30 19:19:31 higginbo kernel: Floppy drive(s): fd0 is 1.44M
I've checked the things permissions in fstab, and have even tried 'mknod' to create a new /dev/fd0, in case that file was somehow currupted. No luck! Any help would be very appreciated.
~Andrew
