I am using slackware 10.2 and just compiled the 2.6.15 kernel. However when I try to mount my cdrom I get:
"mount: /dev/cdrom is not a valid block device"
I have googled this and found others having similar problems but no matter what command I issue, I get the above error.
/etc/fstab
Code:
/dev/hda4 swap swap defaults 0 0
/dev/hda2 / reiserfs defaults 1 1
/dev/hda3 /home reiserfs defaults 1 2
/dev/hda1 /winxp ntfs ro 1 0
/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom auto noauto,owner,ro 0 0
devpts /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
tmpfs /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
I guess I could've missed something on my kernel compile. I kept notes on dependencies and went back to re-check everything. Any ideas?
Edit: Hand typed fstab, corrected an error
