Unable to locate driver for ATI Rage II

Hi,

I installed an old graphic card of mine in a PC i've been working on. The card, an ATI 3D Rage IIC AGP (lspci gives vendor ID 1002:475a), works fine with the generic X driver for ATI graphic cards. However, as before with my GForce 2, direct Rendering with OpenGL is not enabled despite of it being enabled in the config file.

With the nVidia card all it took was downloading the driverpack from nVidia and compiling it. ATI is not so supportive. It offers linux driver for FireGL, FireMV and Radeon cards, but nothing for Rage. At least nothing I could locate on their site.

Has anyone come across a functional driver for X11 6.9 for this card? If yes, I'd appreciate some help.

thanks in advance
