Could any tell me if this would be poss to install Ubuntu Mobile internet addition on to a P3 (1200Mhz) with 1Gb RAM 40Gb HDD. Im just thinking that i might make this little old laptop run faster.
OR
Do i just stick with Puppy Linux as this is running ok with this hardware?
I believe Ubuntu MID is no longer a supported platform I understand what you're wanting and I too am dissapointed in what has been available as most interfaces like this are based on distros that are too bloated for older machines. I think I've tried all of them on older spec system and they dissapointed. You may be interested in following this development: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/vie...864561&t=50563. If Puppy had such an interface it would be ideal
that is was i was looking for. it looks like Puppy will be able to do what i need it to do for the old kit i have got. Many thanks for pointing this link out to me
