i'll look up the monitor, and after searching am satified that we've got the proper driver. so my advice would be to download this

http://www.powervr.com/Downloads/Dri...1.21-7.src.rpm

and read thoroughly this

http://www.powervr.com/Downloads/Dri...ted_310304.txt

as apparently this is an older driver, and you'll have to build your own rpm for installation. when i find your monitor specs i'll post them here. ensure you have your kernel source installed. take care of that hand, you've only got the one.
good luck.

/home/yourusername/.xmms/Skins, but it is hidden by default. for ftp, depends on your local, one of the closest from the mandrake site should do. still looking for the monitor specs, i'll post them when i find them.

read it, quite helpful but yet dident solve my problem, I know how to add new locations.. but im having problems with adding them.. the ftp is :

ftp://ftp.esat.net/pub/linux/mandrak...i586/Mandrake/

and there are files in there i need to link it to besides the RPM directories. for example.

ftp://ftp.esat.net/pub/linux/mandrak.../Mandrake/rpms

and then i tell it the list for that directory is in ../../Mandrake/base/hdlist.cz but it says the following:

Unable to update medium; it will be automatically disabled.

Errors:
no hdlist file found for medium "ftp://ftp.esat.net"
Problem reading synthesis file of medium "ftp://ftp.esat.net"

nnow its not a error with the url or FTP address because it downloads the hdlist, so I dont actually know what the problem is.. there is no hdlist1.cz so im quite confused

Its still giving me a fiew problems, but generally did thanx its just im trying to install gaim.. cant install via RPM cus i broke that lol so i download the RPM of GAIM and it wont let me install due to needing some spell checkers.. Its all just pissing me off at the moment lol, I have mandrake 10 on 3 CDs coming soon so I will just stick with my xmms for now lol. Then I will take on the task of getting all the files for wine and get Kazaa lite working on mandrake, then once I have all my MSN(not got on mandrake), Yahoo(got) aim(not got on mandrake) I will be happy lol.

glad your getting it sorted, as for the wine issue, and all the windows software your looking to run, have a look here first

http://linuxshop.ru/linuxbegin/win-l.../table.shtml#1

i suggest scrolling the entire list. you just might find a linux equivalent for the programs your wishing to run w/wine. if you do, you could save yourself a ton of headaches.
as always, good luck.
