Well it's 12am now, so I am going to rest for a while, my hand is in absolout aggony (dog bit my hand and the muscle in the palm of my hand that moves my thumb is infected) plus I gota find out where xmms skins go lol and how to get GAIM to install cus its giving me some stupid spell checker rpm not complete error, so I have enough to last me, but heres what I know of my moniter:
as apparently this is an older driver, and you'll have to build your own rpm for installation. when i find your monitor specs i'll post them here. ensure you have your kernel source installed. take care of that hand, you've only got the one.
good luck.
Argh lol thanx, where do xmms skins go? and do u know a good FTP for me to set RPM drake to use to download? as I don't have all the CDs so adding needed files isnt easy lol. thanx again, Spike.

Rep:
/home/yourusername/.xmms/Skins, but it is hidden by default. for ftp, depends on your local, one of the closest from the mandrake site should do. still looking for the monitor specs, i'll post them when i find them.
One more problem if you have a min. and are familiar with RPMDrake,
I got this ftp ftp://ftp.esat.net/pub/linux/mandrak...i586/Mandrake/ and its close to home and good download speed, so im wating to add those hdlist thingsy to my package installer yet i get the error that it can not read the hdlist and syn... somthing.. any ideas?
and then i tell it the list for that directory is in ../../Mandrake/base/hdlist.cz but it says the following:
Unable to update medium; it will be automatically disabled.
Errors:
no hdlist file found for medium "ftp://ftp.esat.net"
Problem reading synthesis file of medium "ftp://ftp.esat.net"
nnow its not a error with the url or FTP address because it downloads the hdlist, so I dont actually know what the problem is.. there is no hdlist1.cz so im quite confused
Its still giving me a fiew problems, but generally did thanx its just im trying to install gaim.. cant install via RPM cus i broke that lol so i download the RPM of GAIM and it wont let me install due to needing some spell checkers.. Its all just pissing me off at the moment lol, I have mandrake 10 on 3 CDs coming soon so I will just stick with my xmms for now lol. Then I will take on the task of getting all the files for wine and get Kazaa lite working on mandrake, then once I have all my MSN(not got on mandrake), Yahoo(got) aim(not got on mandrake) I will be happy lol.
i suggest scrolling the entire list. you just might find a linux equivalent for the programs your wishing to run w/wine. if you do, you could save yourself a ton of headaches.
as always, good luck.
