just got my twinview working after a bitch load of tweaking *turns out my monitor doesn't support 1024x768, oki well my problem is this
my monitor is on 1024,768 and my tv is displaying at 800x640 so when i try to watch say a movie i have to restart X at 800x640, is there ne way i can change the resolution without having to restart X ?? or even is there a way my monitor can display my entire desktop at 800x640 while i work on my crt at 1024x768?
There are keystrokes for that....look it up on the Xfree website, but i think it's " shift and the + or - key " . In other words, hold shift and hit the + or - key to increase or decrease the resolution. That's the only way i know how. I think it just cycles the settings you have in your XF86Config for your monitor resolutions. And maybe next time, post your specs. Believe it or not (even for a little problem like this) it helps :-)
