I have Fedora core 2 installed on my system. I am trying to configure PCTV stereo to work on my machine. I can get picture but no sound. I only get noise. I searched for answers on several forums and found that adding 'options tda9887 qss=0' to /etc/modprobe.conf should help me out. But it didn't work and I found the following in dmesg :
I have the same problem, but no solution, yet. In newer kernels, it seems, that "port1", "port2", and "qss" were replaced by a single "secam" parameter (if you are in a SECAM country, else use "pal", I guess).
The parameter, but this did not help me, though. I'm beginning to think that I'll indeed change the saa7134 source code, so that all existing standards are made equal to SECAM-L/NicamAM. That'll be hardly portable, but at least it should work for me...
