Trouble with modem router

I switched to Suse linux 10 about a week ago, but i didn't manage to solve a problem that i had before...
my Avm Fritz!Box Fon didn't and doesen't work.
the modem is connected to the usb port and the system recognise that i have plugged in a modem.
the problems start when i try to configure it. after the normal steps to configure my network card (an on-board ASUSTeK Marvell 88E8001 Gigabit Ethernet Controller) i get to configure the modem.
this model is also a router and im not supposed to introduce the provider information(because the User and Password information is saved on the memory of the modem). but, after configuring the modem card with PPPoverEthernet and setting it to USB mode, the configuration steps take me to configure the provider. i tried to insert the information but it doesn't work anyway.
after i've configured the ethernet card, i typed the IP address of the modem in Konqueror and i have seen the modem welcome page!!
but i can't connect to the net yet!
i'm sorry for my english but i'm italian.
can u help me?
ThanX
