Fedora Core 3
Hey All,
I'm trying to get this modem working in Fedora Core 3, I'm using the slmodem driver from here. The driver seems to compile and install, and I seem to be able to configure it as per these instructions. However when i go into KPPP and try to query the modem on /dev/ttyS0 it first says that the modem is busy, then it times out.
Follow- up. I wasn't telling the whole story.
When following the directions in the second link, the commands 'service' and 'chkconfig' are not found. Also, in the readme for the driver, there are instructions that involve passing commands directly to the modem or modem service? is this possible? also there is a daemon attached to this driver that i have no way of telling if it's starting or failing.
